Going to equine therapy has helped me and my mental health. Aubree has shown me how to show leadership
and how to set boundaries. She also showed me that it may take one person to start the process to trust.
I know that with teamwork, we can build stronger relationships.
I have also seen all of the other girls grow and progress in their treatment.

I cannot recommend Aubree highly enough. As a therapist specializing in Equine Therapy, she has truly transformed our substance use disorder (SUD) groups over the past two years. The work she does alongside the horses is nothing short of magical. Each session is a profound experience, offering unique insights and healing that traditional therapy alone simply cannot provide.
Aubree has a gift for connecting with people, and the way she facilitates these sessions creates a safe and empowering environment for our clients to grow and heal. She has an extraordinary ability to help individuals make meaning of their experiences and gain deep personal insights.
For anyone seeking a compassionate, skilled therapist with a unique approach, I wholeheartedly give Aubree five out of five stars. Her dedication, expertise, and the magic of her work with Equine Therapy are truly exceptional.

I want to give a huge shout out to Hope Reins Healing Equine Therapy, Aubree, and Kelbie!
Aubree & Kelbie provide a safe place for me to be vulnerable and heal. I love working
with these amazing, sweet, talented women and the amazing sweet horses. I can’t explain in words
how much equine therapy is helping me heal spiritually and emotionally
from 18 years of abuse. I highly recommend Hope Reins Healing Equine Therapy!!
The wonderful ladies & horses hold my emotions with me nonjudgmentally therefore it’s easier to get vulnerable and heal. I was abused sexually, physically and emotionally my whole childhood and so I have lots of trauma and maladaptive behaviors. Working with these horses is helping me heal from my trauma. It’s a beautiful and sacred special place.

My son has Juvenile Idiopathic Arthritis that keeps him in chronic pain. We have not been able
to find a treatment for it so far, so he is learning how to live in pain. He started equine therapy
and I have been overjoyed with the things I’ve seen. He has developed
more compassion for animals, and has seen how animals can help calm him down.
He is generally an anxious child and was nervous to be around horses but Aubree was
so helpful to make him feel less nervous.
He looks forward to his weekly sessions and comes home a new kid each week.
I’ve seen a change in his motivation and interests. We see a noticeable difference in Luke’s demeanor and hope.
I’m so grateful Luke has found an interest that gives him something to look forward to each week.

I honestly can’t say enough about this experience with Hope Reins Healing
Therapeutic Services. I knew that working with horses would be cool, but had no idea
how life uplifting it would be for me. The energy, the facilitators, the arena, and of
course the horses brought me just what I needed at this time in my life… I’ve done a lot
of therapeutic work in my life, and the work with the horses helped me to unearth things
I wasn’t able to before… helped me to see things more clearly. When I feel discouraged
or lost now, I close my eyes and take myself back there to the dirt under my feet, the
smell of the horse’s skin, the feel of my hand rubbing their hair, and the breeze that
gives me new breath. I am forever grateful for this experience and look forward to more
learning in the arena with them.

Equine therapy is really helpful to me. It always puts me in a better mood
and makes my day. I've made a really strong connection to this one horse and sometimes
just seeing him helps me get into a better mindset. Its always
great to get to go outside and see these amazing creatures.

I thought that equine was very helpful for the Intensive Outpatient Program (IOP) boys. Many of them struggle
with substance use and engage in oppositional behaviors and all of them have problems with mood and/or anxiety.
It seems like the horses helped them open up and engage in treatment better.
The horses seemed to give them an "excuse" to express some enthusiasm and they seemed to drop
some of their defenses and seemed more willing to show their authentic selves.
Some of the exercises were challenging and when the kids persevered and succeeded they seemed to feel
a sense of pride and there was a definite positive energy. In addition to some of the experiences at the
ranch, I felt there was a shift overall in some of the group members and some of them were more inclusive
and empathetic with others in the group. I am very grateful to have had the experiences with equine and I think
the boys benefitted immensely from their experiences. It seems that some of them gained more from the five sessions
of equine than they did from the months of IOP treatment before starting equine.

My 14-year-old has struggled with anxiety and depression for the last 2 years and was bullied at school every single day. Academic work stopped. Socializing stopped. Happiness stopped. Crying in his room never stopped. He was already on prescription medicine for anxiety but nothing was helping enough. I felt like I had failed him. I knew we needed a miracle. Then we found your equine-assisted therapy program.
We are city people and have only been around horses once or twice. The fear of being stepped on by an animal much bigger and stronger is undeniable. But the horses seemed to understand whatever feelings my child was struggling with. During the first few weeks of equine therapy, my kid didn't have much to say about things. After he completed week 4, he came home and opened up like I hadn't seen in many months. He excitedly told me about the obstacle course and how he had to gain the trust of the horse to lead her through the maze of bricks, road cones, and pool noodles. He felt like a leader because he became a leader.
With each session, he learned how to heal a little bit more. I'm so thankful to Hope Reins Healing and the grant funding that made it possible for my child to find his own happiness again. Had we not found healing for this child, I'm not sure he would've lived to adulthood. You and the horses saved his life. I will never be able to thank you enough for providing such a calming, healing environment for those who need it most.

I want to thank your team for being an important part of Gracie’s trauma recovery. I get emotional just writing about it.
Gracie has been through some very tough things, including a recent hospitalization in August.
Gracie had started her sessions which were interrupted by this hospitalization. Equine Therapy allowed Gracie to
continue in a new session after she was discharged, which she was ecstatic about. When we heard about this therapy, we were both elated.
Finally, something outside of the office where a child can heal. No child wants to sit in an office
and discuss their hurt and betrayal. This was such a great opportunity for Gracie to socialize, connect, and heal.
Gracie immediately took to Dakota, who shares a similar past. Gracie was able to realize that she is not
the only one on this tough journey and was able to see that you can heal from this, if you choose, just like Dakota.
Gracie now has an art print of Dakota hung on her wall to remind her of this amazing opportunity.
The Hope Reins team is amazing, caring, and patient.
I would highly recommend this for anyone looking for a new way to heal.
