Quite Extraordinary If You Ask Me

5/15/2025

Today I arrived here at Equine a bit on edge just due to some personal reasons in my life. We get to see & go in w/ the Mustangs which were so touching. Moonshine came up to me from behind & greeted me, it was so sweet. I wasn’t really looking forward to coming today, actually I was kinda regretting coming & now I’m so thankful & grateful I did. Seeing these gigantic beautiful beasts puts a smile on my face & in my heart. The pure fact that horses can help you process trauma & pain and actually make you feel better after doing so is quite extraordinary if you ask me.

The day is absolutely BEAUTIFUL today. I just told the group members (E, T, K & A) we couldn’t ask for a better day to be out here. The sun is shining & it’s HOT! Everyone except D---- is brushing the horses & I’m sitting here catching some UV rays. I f------ LOVE it!

Can't Begin to Describe the Healing

5/11/2025

I was so honored to be asked to help support and spread the word for this beautiful Non-profit organization Hope Reins Healing Equine Therapy. My experience here is unparalleled and I can’t even begin to describe the healing energies these animals/companions can bring us.

I am so thankful for Aubree and Kelbie for giving us a safe place to connect, process and grow.

Noticeable Difference

12/13/2024

My son has Juvenile Idiopathic Arthritis that keeps him in chronic pain. We have not been able to find a treatment for it so far, so he is learning how to live in pain. He started equine therapy and I have been overjoyed with the things I’ve seen. He has developed more compassion for animals, and has seen how animals can help calm him down. He is generally an anxious child and was nervous to be around horses but Aubree was so helpful to make him feel less nervous.

He looks forward to his weekly sessions and comes home a new kid each week. I’ve seen a change in his motivation and interests. We see a noticeable difference in Luke’s demeanor and hope. I’m so grateful Luke has found an interest that gives him something to look forward to each week.

Get Vulnerable & Heal

11/27/2024

I want to give a huge shout out to Hope Reins Healing Equine Therapy, Aubree, and Kelbie! Aubree & Kelbie provide a safe place for me to be vulnerable and heal. I love working with these amazing, sweet, talented women and the amazing sweet horses. I can’t explain in words how much equine therapy is helping me heal spiritually and emotionally from 18 years of abuse. I highly recommend Hope Reins Healing Equine Therapy!!

The wonderful ladies & horses hold my emotions with me nonjudgmentally therefore it’s easier to get vulnerable and heal. I was abused sexually, physically and emotionally my whole childhood and so I have lots of trauma and maladaptive behaviors. Working with these horses is helping me heal from my trauma. It’s a beautiful and sacred special place.

At Peace With Myself

6/1/2022

My equine session was amazing. Everything was very thought out and geared toward healing emotional wounds. I enjoyed spending time with the gentle horses and observing the way they interacted with myself and others in the group. It was a safe place to feel more at peace with myself and feel peace in my surroundings. The facilitators are compassionate, caring, intuitive and directed some really meaningful conversation during and afterwards.

Quite Helpful

5/27/2022

Very pleased with this program and delighted I was able to get my boys in. They were going through an especially difficult time and working with the horses was quite helpful.

Open Up & Engage

5/24/2022

I thought that equine was very helpful for the Intensive Outpatient Program (IOP) boys.  Many of them struggle with substance use and engage in oppositional behaviors and all of them have problems with mood and/or anxiety. It seems like the horses helped them open up and engage in treatment better. The horses seemed to give them an "excuse" to express some enthusiasm and they seemed to drop some of their defenses and seemed more willing to show their authentic selves. Some of the exercises were challenging and when the kids persevered and succeeded they seemed to feel a sense of pride and there was a definite positive energy.

In addition to some of the experiences at the
ranch, I felt there was a shift overall in some of the group members and some of them were more inclusive and empathetic with others in the group.  I am very grateful to have had the experiences with equine and I think the boys benefitted immensely from their experiences.  It seems that some of them gained more from the five sessions of equine than they did from the months of IOP treatment before starting equine.

Nothing Short of Magical

3/1/2022

I cannot recommend Aubree highly enough. As a therapist specializing in Equine Therapy, she has truly transformed our substance use disorder (SUD) groups over the past two years. The work she does alongside the horses is nothing short of magical. Each session is a profound experience, offering unique insights and healing that traditional therapy alone simply cannot provide.

Aubree has a gift for connecting with people, and the way she facilitates these sessions creates a safe and empowering environment for our clients to grow and heal. She has an extraordinary ability to help individuals make meaning of their experiences and gain deep personal insights.

For anyone seeking a compassionate, skilled therapist with a unique approach, I wholeheartedly give Aubree five out of five stars. Her dedication, expertise, and the magic of her work with Equine Therapy are truly exceptional.

Overcoming Life's Difficult Obstacles

1/25/2022

Hope Reins Healing Therapy did an amazing job helping a group of individuals who all struggled with severe anxiety and trauma. They were gently and compassionately encouraged to face fears and begin work towards healing. They were attentive, focused, and compassionate towards those in my group. The facility is beautiful, views and all. Highly recommend for anyone wanting to better themselves and start their path towards overcoming life's difficult obstacles.
