Meet the Herd: Our Mustang Rescues

Picture

Dakota

Rescued in 2020
Original Herd from Cedar City, Utah

Wild at heart.  Through trials and tribulations, Dakota requires authenticity and presence from those that work with her. She is our first Mustang rescue.

Partnering with Dakota will take you to the depths of your soul if you are ready to heal those parts of yourself.

MoonShine

Rescued from Oklahoma Kill Pen in 2022
Original Herd from Cedar City, Utah

MoonShine was given his name due to the sliver of moon on his forelock. MoonShine is a kill pen rescue who was born in the heart of Utah and somehow landed in Oklahoma. He was pulled from the sale lot and was taken to a sanctuary where Aubree first saw him.

MoonShine is curious and willing to engage with humans despite the physical hardships that can be witnessed on his body.

Luna

Rescued from a Kill Pen in Oklahoma: 2024
Original herd from Las Vegas, Nevada

Luna is a total love bug. She did not live in the wild as her family was captured when Luna was young due to starvation. She was then rescued from a kill pen in Oklahoma. She is our newest rescue and is integrating well with the rest of the herd. She's a
spunky yet calm horse. She loves people.

Luna is great at helping people feel present, grounded and safe during sessions.

In late summer of 2025, Luna gave birth to a cute little colt: Chance.

Chance

Welcome to the world, Chance!

Born in August 2025

Chance is the newest member of the HRH Team. His mother, Luna, was our third Mustang rescue from a kill pen. She came to us with this handsome little surprise in store. We took a CHANCE on Luna and have been given a wonderful gift!

In life, we must take CHANCES while we can. You only have one life: LIVE IT!
