Our Mission
Our mission at Hope Reins Healing, Inc is to provide equine therapy to those in our community who have limited access to mental health care and those who have struggled to make the desired progress in traditional talk therapy. We support clients who desire a powerful healing experience by utilizing the highly attuned nature of horses. Our team of providers implement an evidence-based approach to equine therapy which includes ground-based treatment sessions on a beautiful 40-acre ranch.
Our herd, including 3 rescued mustangs and 4 other horses, intuitively provides an authentic learning and healing environment for those seeking clarity, peace, community, innovative tools, and a newfound hope. We teach skills such as mindfulness, somatic awareness, boundaries, communication skills and emphasize the importance of community as a powerful part of the healing process.

Our Story
Hope Reins Healing, Inc is a small non-profit organization that provides a unique form of mental health services, equine therapy. The organization began offering services in early 2020. Their mission is to make equine therapy accessible to underserved individuals in their community, with the goal to reach high risk/low income populations who suffer from mental health disorders such as anxiety and treatment-resistant depression while also initiating healing for clients dealing with the effects of trauma and other life stressors.
Within the low-income populations Hope Reins Healing focuses specifically on individuals who are the victims of domestic violence, and children who are in the DCFS system. A particular at-risk group is people in the LGBTQ+ community, a historically underserved population who experiences domestic violence at a higher rate.
In order to demonstrate the effectiveness of the equine therapy services, Hope Reins Healing employs evidence-based treatment services based on Eagala ethics and standards.
